There are dozens of ways to move money from the US to India. Most were built for enterprise supply chains or family remittances, not for a freelancer invoicing three clients a month.

If you are comparing platforms in 2026, look past the headline fee and calculate the all-in cost. Transaction fee, plus FX margin, plus withdrawal minimums, plus whatever it takes to get a FIRA. Here is a feature comparison of five platforms as of September 2026. Competitor pricing is from their published pages and changes, so check before you decide.

## Feature comparison

| Platform | Fee structure | FX margin | Settlement | FIRA | Stablecoin support | Fits |
| :---- | :---- | :---- | :---- | :---- | :---- | :---- |
| DashX | 0.5% flat fiat, 1% flat stablecoin | 0% | 24 to 48 hours | Automatic on fiat, on request on stablecoin | Yes | Freelancers and agencies, Web3 clients |
| Payoneer | Percentage-based receiving and withdrawal fees, published per method | Built into withdrawal rate | 1 to 5 days | Per transaction on request | No | Marketplace payouts (Upwork) |
| Wise | Disclosed fee per transfer, roughly 0.5% to 1.5% | Mid-market | 1 to 3 days | Own remittance document, check with your CA | No | Freelancers with smaller invoices |
| Skydo | Flat dollar tiers by invoice size | 0% | 1 to 3 days | Yes | No | Service exporters on fiat only |
| PayPal | Around 4.4% plus fixed fee on commercial receipts | Roughly 3 to 4% | 1 to 3 days | Consolidated | No | Very small transactions |

### The real math: a $5,000 invoice

At ₹95 to the dollar. Competitor figures are approximate all-in.

* **PayPal.** Roughly 4.4% plus around 3.5% on conversion. About $395 lost. You receive about ₹4,37,475.
* **Payoneer.** Roughly 2.5% between receiving and withdrawal. About $125 lost. You receive about ₹4,63,125.
* **DashX fiat rail.** 0.5% flat, $25. You receive ₹4,72,625.

## Tax documentation

Every platform here offers some form of FIRA, but the friction differs. PayPal issues a consolidated statement, which is hard to reconcile against individual invoices if a question comes. Payoneer and Wise provide per-transaction documents, sometimes with a delay. DashX attaches the FIRA to the specific invoice and transaction in your dashboard, issued through AD Category I bank partners, with the RBI purpose code for your service.

## Stablecoin support

Among these five, DashX is the one that accepts USDC and USDT. If a client wants to pay in stablecoins, the other four cannot process it, and routing through a personal wallet and an Indian exchange leaves you without a FIRA and with VDA reporting on every sale. DashX converts offshore and settles as INR for a flat 1%, with the same documentation as a fiat payment.

### Which platform, by earning level

* **Under ₹10 lakh a year.** Wise is fine for smaller, less frequent invoices. PayPal only makes sense for very small amounts where the fixed fee is irrelevant.
* **₹10 lakh to ₹50 lakh.** Fee structure matters. The difference between a roughly 2% all-in platform and 0.5% flat is about 1.5% of receipts, ₹15,000 to ₹75,000 a year in this band, before counting time spent on documentation.
* **₹50 lakh to ₹75 lakh.** Documentation and the 44ADA cap matter most. The ₹75 lakh limit for AY 2026-27 requires 95% of receipts through banking channels, and a FIRA per payment is what your CA files from. Stablecoin acceptance becomes relevant if your clients are Web3 companies. DashX is the right choice.

Which is right depends on your invoice sizes, your clients' countries and how they prefer to pay. Run one real invoice through each platform's calculator before you switch.

## Why freelancers choose DashX

[DashX](https://dashx.xyz/) operates through RBI-authorised AD Category I banks (JP Morgan and HDFC) and PA-CB licensed partners. A flat fee with conversion at mid-market, FIRA with the right purpose code on every payment, and stablecoin settlement for clients who pay that way. DashX doesn't give tax advice.
