A FIRA, e-FIRA or bank credit advice in PDF. It is read in your browser and never uploaded anywhere.

Good to know

A FIRA (Foreign Inward Remittance Advice) is the document your bank or payment provider issues when foreign currency is credited to your Indian account. It shows the amount received, the exchange rate applied, the INR credited and the purpose code.

The rate on your FIRA is usually below the mid-market rate. The difference is the FX markup, a cost that never appears as a fee. Add wire charges, intermediary bank deductions and conversion fees, and the total is often 2–4% of the payment.

Keep your FIRAs

FIRAs prove that a payment was an export of services. You need them to claim GST zero-rating under LUT, for income tax records and when your bank closes the export entry in EDPMS. DashX issues a FIRA for every payment.
