SWIFT code finder

Find the SWIFT/BIC code of any bank in India by name and city or from your IFSC, or check a SWIFT code before you share it.

274 institutions registered in India. Branch codes are listed for banks that publish them; others receive through the head office.

Good to know

A SWIFT code (also called a BIC) identifies a bank in an international wire. It has 8 or 11 characters: a 4-letter bank code, a 2-letter country code (IN for India), a 2-character location code and an optional 3-character branch code. XXX or no branch code means the primary office.

IFSC is different: it routes domestic NEFT, RTGS and IMPS payments within India. International clients need your SWIFT code; your IFSC is only used once the money reaches India.

Where the codes come from

Head-office codes and legal names come from GLEIF's open BIC-to-LEI register; branch codes come from the open IFSC dataset maintained by Razorpay. Last updated 2026-10-22.

Skip SWIFT fees altogether

Each SWIFT wire can pass through intermediary banks that deduct $15–$50 along the way. With DashX, clients pay into a local account in their own currency, so no SWIFT wire is involved.
